Cambridge University Press, a leader in academic publishing, is currently seeking to fill the position of Library Sales Representative. This position is remote, based in the West Coast of the US. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling new and existing online products, including Cambridge journals packages, journal archives, databases and eBooks to the West Coast territory within the US library and institutional market.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain and further develop relationships with existing customers.
Research and target new business; make cold calls to prospective customers.
Respond to high volumes of customer/internal queries (via email or phone) daily on a daily basis.
Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing and provide follow-up through all stages of the sale.
Maintain tracking & reporting sales activities on a monthly basis, including any significant customer feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues internally to ensure customer satisfaction & quickly resolve outstanding customer issues.
Create and execute public sales presentations.
Work with CRM software (Salesforce) on a daily basis.
Requirements:
3 years sales experience required, preferably in academic market digital sales; Bachelor's degree in related job area preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required.
Proven ability to prioritize and work independently and within a team environment.
Knowledge of: Microsoft Excel, Word, & Power Point, Internet research required.
Must be able to travel moderately to heavy: library visits within sales territory and attendance at annual library market conferences.
Salesforce experience or similar CRM software is a plus.
Interest in, experience in, and/or awareness of: market trends and issues for academic libraries a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
