The Sr. Network Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Network design and implementation of network related data center and virtualization concepts
LAN/WAN design and implementation
Wireless technologies
Discovery and troubleshoting of network application environments
Knowledge in the following areas would be considered a plus:
Network Security Strategy,
Disaster Recovery
Unified Communications
The Sr. Network Engineer must have the following skills:
Strong Network Architecture Skills
Product experience in CISCO - (Juniper, HP, or Brocade is a plus)
Routing - BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Redistribution and Route Selection
Switching - Vlans, Spanning Tree, Port Channels, VPC
WAN - Optimization, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, Frame Relay, ATM
Data Center Virtualization
Architecture and Design Capabilities
Product Expertise in CISCO NEXUS 7000, 1000V, OTV
Consolidated I/O, Network Connectivity for Fibre Channel/Iscsi
Virtual Contexts, Virtual switch technology
FCoE
High Speed Ethernet Technology
Application Management
Product Expertise in Application Delivery - F5, Netscaler, or A10
Application Management technology - Load Balancing, SSL/HTTP offload
Application Network troubleshooting and Discovery skills -
TCP/IP packet analysis
WAN Optimization - Riverbed
Tool experience with Sniffer/Wireshark
General ability in the following areas:
Advanced analytical ability
Project management skills
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent Communication skills
Strong Documentation ability
The Sr. Network Engineer must meet the following
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
